Multilingual

Kybera Impact is bilingual end-to-end out of the box — English and French, with an architecture extensible to additional languages. A user whose Microsoft 365 profile is set to French sees the apps in French, the taxonomy in their French default labels, Business Authority in French, and email notifications in French. The same user's English-speaking colleague sees all of the same workspace in English.

What's bilingual

  • The four Power Apps — every UI string is rendered from a controlled vocabulary your IM team maintains in the portal.
  • Site columns, content types, and templates — alternate-language labels surfaced through SharePoint's multilingual UI.
  • Taxonomy — Microsoft 365 term store with English and French default labels and synonyms, maintained through a familiar Excel-based export and import flow.
  • Business Authority — every level has labels in both languages, stored on each workspace's property bags so any system reading the metadata can resolve the right one.
  • Email notifications — bilingual per recipient based on Microsoft 365 profile language. No English fallback for French recipients.

Why your organization benefits

  • Bilingual is a default, not a project. Most Microsoft 365 governance programs treat bilingual deployment as a phase-two effort that never quite happens. Kybera Impact treats it as architecture — your tenant is bilingual from the moment Kybera Impact is installed.
  • The IM team's workflow is bilingual. Editing English and French taxonomy together is the everyday motion of the IM Portal — designed for the way bilingual deployments actually need to work.
  • The architecture is extensible. The audit, compliance, lifecycle, and provisioning engines operate on identifiers, not labels — so adding a third language is an enhancement project, not a platform rewrite.

Where this fits

Templates & the IM model covers where the bilingual taxonomy and content types are maintained. The Adoption Guides include a topic on planning a bilingual deployment with or without Kybera Impact.
