Compliance & reconciliation

Kybera Impact's compliance service is what keeps your organization's governance durable. The audit measures every workspace; compliance corrects the drift the audit finds — automatically, on a schedule, with no manual intervention.

What runs on a schedule

Per-workspace compliance. Validates every Active workspace against its template — Business Authority defaults, retention and sensitivity labels, content types, hub-and-spoke association, Kybera Impact property bag markers, and the workspace title between the live site and the registry. When drift is found, compliance applies the correction automatically.

Tenant reconciliation. Catches when a SharePoint site exists in your tenant without a corresponding row in the registry. A monthly pass scans for Kybera Impact-managed sites, matches them against the registry, and rebuilds missing rows from the live site so every Kybera Impact-managed workspace is accounted for.

Disposed-workspace cleanup. Manages the registry's audit trail after disposal. Workspaces that have been disposed stay visible for a configurable retention window (90 days by default), then are removed via SharePoint's list recycle bin so the rows remain recoverable.

Business Authority changes. When a workspace's business owner changes, the change flows through compliance and is applied point-forward to the workspace's property bags and registry row — so brokers, audit, and Insights all reflect the new ownership automatically.

Why your organization benefits

  • Governance stays in force over time. Every workspace correctly provisioned on day one will drift over months — compliance closes that gap so the policies your organization set stay applied.
  • The registry stays honest, no matter what. If a tenant admin deletes a site outside the normal flow, the platform reconciles. If a site exists without a registry row, the platform rebuilds. Your governance data is always current.
  • No manual cleanup. Ever. Compliance, reconciliation, and cleanup all run on schedules. Your IT team and IM team don't have to remember to do anything.
  • Drift is data, not crisis. Compliance writes its findings to a Compliance Issues record per workspace — so Insights can show you what was corrected, not just that everything is fine.

Where this fits

Compliance and audit are two halves of the same governance loop — audit measures, compliance corrects. Together they're what keeps every provisioned workspace governed throughout its lifecycle.
